Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) Project
The City of Georgetown has begun implementation of its Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) project. Starting in October, The City and its installation partner (Cooper Power Systems and Vanguard Utility Services) will be replacing all the electric meters, with water meter installations to follow in November.
The purpose of the project is to save energy, increase reliability and enhance customer service.
You can expect to receive a letter from the City informing you of when the installers will be in your neighborhood.
“We really appreciate the community’s cooperation during this project. We recognize the inconvenience this project posed on property owners and we will do our very best to get the work done as quickly as possible.” – City of Georgetown Meter Automation Project Team
